Our Inventory Forecaster is a simple and powerful tool that will enable your teams to meet sales and inventory level goals.

Ongoing inventory forecasting is a critical component of any successful replenishment program. In our approach to replenishment, the analyst has a target for ending inventory levels for each program going into a weekend. For programs with longer lead times, it may be necessary to project desired levels for up to two additional weeks which our system accommodates. Availability can pose a problem in multi-week forecasts, and weather certainly prevents the forecasting process from becoming a science. However, we have developed tools that allow teams to analyze current inventory levels, current and historical sales trends, and upcoming weather forecasts to make clear decisions on desired levels in the upcoming sales periods.

Our processes eliminate the surprises that can happen when weather events, good or bad, happen and appropriate inventory decisions are not made to correspond. It also ensures that historical seasonal trends are regularly factored into the planning process. We typically see significant sales increases, improved turns, as well as reductions in unproductive inventory, markdowns, and shrink in programs where effective forecasting techniques are employed.

The inventory forecast process used in conjunction with our replenishment system and other products can help create programs with results well above typical less structured methods. It also provides managers a superior method to monitor the performance of the programs being executed by their teams.
